\nit greatly expands the power of the National Security Council (NSC) to
\noversee all executive departments and agencies. The Directive
\nintroduces new members into top level NSC meetings including the Energy
\nSecretary and the U.S. representative to the United Nations. Most
\nsignificant is that Obama\u2019s National Security Advisor, General James
\nJones (ret.), was given direct authority to develop and implement
\npolicy throughout the NSC system. Under previous Presidential
\nadministrations, a number of interagency committees were not chaired or
\ncontrolled by the NSC. \u201cUnder Obama\u201d, according to one <\/span>Foreign Policy analyst<\/a>,
\n\u201cthe NSC chairs everything, though some committees can and will be
\ncochaired.\u201d Prior to his current appointment, General Jones was
\ninvolved in a secretive Boeing Corporation effort to declassify
\nantigravity technology for commercial application. Boeing\u2019s
\ndeclassification efforts were denied. Obama\u2019s Directive now gives
\nGeneral Jones a second opportunity to have antigravity technology
\ndeclassified for commercial development.<\/p>\n
