According Obama\u2019s campaign webpage<\/a>,
\na CTO would be responsible for technological innovation \u201cto ensure that
\nour government and all its agencies have the right infrastructure,
\npolicies and services for the 21st century.\u201d Obama\u2019s first Presidential
\nactions indicate that he intends to give his CTO broad powers than will
\nchallenge many vested interests over the extent to which technology is
\ndeclassified and shared with the public sector. This makes Obama\u2019s CTO a key figure in accessing and sharing technologies buried in government and corporate X-Files.<\/p>\n
