\nJohn Podesta was co-chair to President Obama\u2019s transition team, and
\nplayed a key role in selecting personnel for Presidential appointments.
\nHis influence was most clearly displayed in the Executive Orders and
\nPresidential Memoranda on Obama\u2019s first full day of office on January
\n21 promoting transparency and Open Government. Transparency and Open
\nGovernment were signature issues for Podesta during his time in the
\nClinton administration when he pushed aggressively for Executive Order
\n12958.<\/p>\n
