\nwill formally begin his new position as Director of National
\nIntelligence. He will become the nominal head of the U.S. Intelligence Community<\/a>
\nand will be responsible for coordinating intelligence data among 16
\nU.S. intelligence agencies. Blair will depend on the intelligence
\nagencies to cooperate with the Office of Director National Intelligence
\nby sharing their intelligence data. Most data to be shared will deal
\nwith terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, armed international
\nconflict, and other national security issues well known to the general
\npublic. His office, however, will receive only limited if any data on
\nthe Intelligence Community\u2019s X-files \u2013 classified files dealing UFOs
\nand extraterrestrial life. Blair\u2019s final naval appointment, however, gave him \u2018need-to-know\u2019 access to the X-Files of the U.S. Navy. <\/strong>This makes it possible for him to attempt to coordinate intelligence data from the X-Files of all the Intelligence Community.<\/p>\n
