Rebecca Hodgson of Louth was at her
\nhorse's stables off London Road, Louth Saturday January 3 – the night before the
\n65 ft blade fell from the turbine in Conisholme – when her horse was spooked by
\na 'flashing orange ball' in the sky.<\/p>\n
Rebecca described how her horse
\nstopped suddenly and gazed up at the sky as a bright orange light circled above
\nthe turbines. <\/p>\n
She said: "It was really bright and glowing, it went
\ndimmer and then moved across horizontally".<\/p>\n
Shocked at her horse's
\nreaction, Rebecca called her mum and sister shouting there was a UFO in the
\nsky.<\/p>\n
"Animals are more susceptible to things like that. Obviously we get
\na lot of airplanes flying over but she never normally gets bothered by them. I
\ninstantly thought it was strange".<\/p>\n
The story of the UFO sightings and the
\nmystery of the falling blade took the world by storm with national newspapers
\nand news crews the site of the wind farm.<\/p>\n
The fallen blade has since been
\nsent to Germany for forensic testing.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson from the wind farm
\ncompany, Ecotricity said: ""The blade has been sent to Germany for analysis and
\nhopefully we will get the results in by the end of the week \u2013 if there is a
\nrational answer out there, we will find it".<\/p>\n
