On January 20, Barack Obama will be inaugurated as the first Hawaiian born and raised President in U.S. history. <\/strong>He
\nhas publicly said that his Hawaiian upbringing has profoundly affected
\nhis life values and outlook. Obama regularly returns to Hawaii for
\nholidays with friends and family. For example, during the recent New
\nYear holiday he stayed at an exclusive beach front property in Kailua,
\njust outside Honolulu. During his Presidential administration, it is
\nexpected that he will return for future holidays. When he does, he may
\nbe the first U.S. President to catch sight of one of the mysterious
\nUFOs often seen flying near Hawaii\u2019s famous beaches. <\/p>\n

Hawaii has been for many years a hotbed of UFO activity. <\/strong>Many
\neyewitnesses have given accounts of different kinds of UFOs seen near
\nits pristine tropical beaches. The UFOs have displayed spectacular
\naeronautical  maneuvers, making sudden right angle turns, accelerating
\nvery quickly, and\/or becoming stationary for long periods of time.<\/p>\n

Large
\ncylindrical objects have been sighted which can be as big as aircraft
\ncarriers. On January 26, 2007, for example, Honolulu resident Peter
\nHollingworth described what appeared to be a large cylindrical UFO he
\nand many others saw about 45 degrees above the horizon around 6:20 pm. Video of the UFO <\/a>was
\nrecorded from the KHON 2 SkyCam. The FAA reported nothing unusual and
\nthere was no statement by military authorities on what the UFO was.  <\/p>\n

More remarkable are sightings of UFOs entering in or out of Hawaiian waters. <\/strong>More
\naccurately called Unidentified Submersible Objects, USOs have often
\nbeen sighted by fisherman and U.S. Navy personnel. According Bill
\nHolden, a retired Loadmaster and Flight Steward for Special Air
\nMissions with the U.S. Air Force, he regularly flew U.S. Presidents and
\nVIPs to different locations. He served with Presidents Kennedy, Johnson
\nand Nixon, and even got to discuss UFOs with Kennedy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In
\n1966, Holden was part of a special mission where high ranking US Navy
\npersonnel were taken to an undisclosed location in Hawaii where USOs
\nwere sighted flying out of and back into the Pacific Ocean. Holden said<\/a>:
\n\u201cAnd a little after 7 in the morning \u2026 this craft comes out of the
\nwater, from our left to our right, just goes SHEWWW [makes sound of
\nfast movement] just like this, and then stops out there in front of
\nus.\u201d He described it as a \u201cdouble elliptical saucer-shaped craft\u201d that
\nwas approximately 50-60 feet long.<\/p>\n

Holden went on to describe
\nits movements: \u201cNow, it sits out there and then almost instantaneously
\ndisappears. So everybody's excited about what they're seeing and
\neverything. And about this time somebody yells, \u201cIt's back!\u201d And it's
\nnow a little bit closer, about a hundred yards out, maybe 100, 200 feet
\noff the water, and it then demonstrates … as far as going up and
\ndown, side to side, cants left and right, and cants at an angle and
\ngoes right back into the water. Now, when he goes into the water \u2013 and
\nwhen he came out of the water \u2013 there was no explosion or implosion as
\nit went back in.\u201d<\/p>\n

When President Obama does return to Hawaii
\nfor future vacations, he will be in a position to learn more about
\nHawaii\u2019s USOs. If so, he can ask to be briefed by his future Director
\nof National Intelligence (DNI), retired Admiral Dennis Blair. Blair is
\na former Commander of the Honolulu based U.S. Pacific Fleet. Blair
\nwould almost certainly know about USO activity in Hawaiian waters, and
\ncould easily inform the President during one of his daily intelligence
\nbriefings.<\/p>\n
