\nGary McKinnon's lawyers, led by Karen Todner<\/a>, have succeeded, despite fierce opposition from the UK Government (represented by a barrister working for the Treasury Solicitor<\/a>) in getting a Court Date for the oral Judicial Review of the decision to extradite Gary to the USA – Tuesday 20th January 2009 <\/strong>
\nIt seems that Hugo Keith QC<\/a>,
\nacting for the Treasury Solicitor argued against any sort of Judicial
\nReview, and then wasted even more public money on legal fees, and
\nslowed down the already overburdened Court system, by getting a hearing
\nin front of a Judge, to try to overturn Karen Todner's rejection of the
\ndate which he was demanding, the 2nd December (i.e. next Tuesday),
\nIs it just a coincidence, or are the officials who set the Court Dates
\nwaving a couple of fingers at President George W. Bush and his
\napparatchiki and henchmen, who officially hand over power to
\nPresident-elect Barack Obama on the same day, Tuesday 20th January 2009 <\/strong>?<\/p>\n

Pentagon "UFO hacker" <\/font>Gary McKinnon has been given yet another chance to beat a US extradition
\norder<\/font><\/a> for his US military hacking.<\/font><\/p>\n

McKinnon will now be able to see out Christmas in the UK<\/font><\/a> after his lawyer won the right for a High Court judge to review
\nMcKinnon's plight on 20 January.<\/font><\/p>\n

The judge will make a decision on this date as to whether
\nanother court should review his case. If a review is necessary, the High Court
\nwill hear the case yet again.<\/font><\/p>\n

McKinnon has admitted to hacking into US military systems
\nbetween 2001 and 2002, but says he should not be extradited to the US as he was
\nonly looking for hidden evidence of UFOs.<\/font><\/p>\n

The US government says he caused hundreds of thousands of
\ndollars in damage to military computer systems.<\/font><\/p>\n

<\/span>It has been a frustrating experience
\nfor the US authorities as they indicted him in November 2002, and the UK
\ngovernment approved his extradition in 2006.<\/font><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/font><\/div>\n

McKinnon has been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, an autistic
\nspectrum disorder that can lead to obsessive behaviour and poor social
\ninteraction. <\/font><\/p>\n

His condition may be used to fight the
\nextradition.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
