        <\/p>\n

The names of thee senior officials who attended a series of secret
\n          United Nations meetings discussing recent UFO sightings have just been
\n          announced. Gilles Lorant. a French Aviation expert disclosed these names
\n          in a pre-interview
\n          discussion<\/a> with a French radio journalist, Didier De Plaige (translation
\n          below) . Lorant revealed that the meetings he attended on February 13
\n          and 14, were chaired by Srgjan Kerim, the President of the UN General
\n          Assembly. <\/p>\n

From photos shown to him, Lorant also identified the Vatican’s Apostolic
\n          Nuncio and Permanent Observer to the UN, Archbishop Celestino Migliore;
\n          and Sir John Sawyers, Britain’s Permanent Representative to the United
\n          Nations. <\/p>\n

        <\/p>\n

According to Loran, security at the meetings was not very tight and
\n          participants had to merely sign an "appreciation form" at
\n          their conclusion. Apparently, other more high security meetings were
\n          underway that were conducted behind chained doors with guards in front.
\n        <\/p>\n

        <\/p>\n

Lorant said no documents were distributed at the meeting, but a report
\n          on UFO’s prepared by a branch of the U.S. National Guard (and U.S. Air
\n          Force according to an earlier statement) was projected onto a screen.
\n          Lorant revealed that the Report had been ordered by three U.S. Senators
\n          who commented on it. He did not clarify if the Senators actually attended
\n          the meeting or whether their comments were merely projected onto the
\n          screen. <\/p>\n

        <\/p>\n

In
\n          an earlier statement<\/a>,
\n          Lorant (pictured on left) revealed that one and a half hours of the
\n          meetings was devoted to discussion of recent UFO sightings, and that
\n          agreement was reached to develop an official policy of ‘openness’ to
\n          UFO reports in 2009 provided two conditions were met. Peace and stability
\n          in democratic nations was the first. The second condition was that UFO
\n          sightings would continue at present levels. The secret meetings attended
\n          by Lorant involved 40 representatives of 28 member states. Lorant further
\n          claimed that a Report of the meetings would be officially released by
\n          the end of March to member nations that could not attend.<\/p>\n

        <\/p>\n

Lorant’s revelations concerning the UN’s secret meetings that included
\n          a discussion of UFO’s indicates an official effort to coordinate international
\n          policies in response to an unprecedented number of UFO sightings in
\n          2007\/2008. For example, a parliamentary question raised about UFO sightings
\n          in Japan, led to Shigeru Ishiba, Japan’s Defense Minister, publicly
\n          stating, on December 20, official Japanese defense policy in the event
\n          that extraterrestrial vehicles appeared over Japanese airspace. He claimed
\n          that if no hostile intent was displayed, the Japanese Defense Force
\n          would not militarily engage with extraterrestrial visitors. Ishiba’s
\n          statement is one of the few public policy statements released on possible
\n          responses to extraterrestrial visitors by a major nation.<\/p>\n

        <\/p>\n

Lorant’s list of attendees is strengthened by a Vatican
\n          announcement <\/a>that Bishop Migliore was present at the UN on February
\n          13 to deliver a speech on the global environment to the General Assembly
\n          . According to Lorant it was possible for the Vatican representative
\n          to attend multiple meetings as was the case with other attendees. Efforts
\n          to confirm the attendance of other officials revealed by Lorant are
\n          presently underway. <\/p>\n

        <\/p>\n

Lorant clarified that he as served as an attach\u00e9 Research at
\n          the prestigious French scientific organization, CNRS, and that he was
\n          an auditor at another prestigious organization, IHEDN. Lorant’s credibility
\n          as a witness was recently supported by the President of the Federation
\n          European Airplane, Michel Ribardiere, who released a statement supporting

\n          French expert in UFO sightings, Gildas Bourdais has publicly vouched
\n          for Lorant’s credibility as a witness. Further investigations are currently
\n          underway to corroborate more aspects of Lorant’s testimony, his reliability
\n          as a witness and to find other attendees willing to disclose what happened
\n          at the secret UN meetings discussing UFO sightings. <\/p>\n

Gilles Lorant, who is now quoted on many French and Anglo-American
\n          Internet forums, clarified some points for me before we organized the
\n          interview scheduled for radio. He cannot of course comment on any of
\n          the information transmitted by Michael Salla, which relate to the day
\n          of 12 February in which he did not attend. He was in New York to observe
\n          the functioning of the United Nations, and it is a coincidence that
\n          the topic of UFO’s has been discussed during these two days.<\/p>\n

        <\/p>\n

He said today:
\n          — It was on 13 and 14 February for preliminary discussions, to prepare
\n          for a forthcoming meeting of the Economic and Social Council.
\n          — No documents were circulated, but extracts from the reports of the
\n          National Guard were projected on screens, and commented on by the three
\n          senators who had ordered the reports.
\n          — Participants were not subject to any particular security search,
\n          it was only imperative to extinguish mobile phones.
\n          — At the end of the meeting, participants had to fill in an appreciation
\n          form.<\/p>\n

        <\/p>\n

"The meetings were chaired by Srgjan Kerim, a former Foreign Minister
\n          of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" (elected president
\n          of the 62nd session of the United Nations General Assembly on May 24,
\n          2007). "Some meeting rooms were locked in a chain across the door
\n          and guarded by a messenger. The meeting room in which I found myself
\n          was not so guarded. "
\n          I can confirm the presence of Sir John SAWERS, for the United Kingdom,
\n          and Archbishop Celestino MIGLIORE, permanent representative of the Vatican.<\/p>\n

        <\/p>\n

The permanent representative of the Vatican was present in New York
\n          at this time, as evidenced by the Catholic Press Agency: "The Archbishop
\n          Celestino Migliore, the Vatican’s permanent observer to the United Nations
\n          was present on Wednesday (thus 13 February) during the 62nd Session
\n          of the General Assembly of the United Nations, entitled "Climate
\n          Change: The UN and the world in the search for solutions." It was
\n          possible to join the meeting which was held in the hall of the Security
\n          Council, since Gilles Lorant told me that individuals have participated
\n          in various meetings on the same day.<\/p>\n

        <\/p>\n

During this brief interview, Gilles Lorant also stated: "I have
\n          been an attach\u00e9 Research" at the CNRS, only because I happened
\n          in the past to carry out two specific contracts. With regard to the
\n          IHEDN, I have actually been "auditor", but I have been reached
\n          by the age limit."<\/p>\n
