Washington, DC – Paradigm Research Group will hold a press conference
\nin the wake of the 2nd Annual Exopolitics Expo – X-Conference 2005 – in

\nApril 25.  It is open to the public.<\/p>\n

X-Conference speakers will present breaking news from the X-Conference,
\npending developments in their research, new books and more.  Stephen
\nBassett, executive director of PRG, will raise serious concerns
\nregarding exopolitical issues as they relate to high ranking government
\nofficials, past and present.<\/p>\n

X-Conference 2005, which is scheduled for April 22-24 at the Hilton
\nGaithersburg, is a unique event which focuses on the political,
\ngovernmental and social implications of extraterrestrial-related
\nphenomena and 50+ years of societal denial.  It is produced by PRG as
\npart of the ongoing activist movement seeking to end a government
\nimposed truth embargo.  Thirty speakers and panelists will present.

\nbeen issued and more are available.  Seven documentary teams, including
\ntwo from the United Kingdom and two from History Channel productions,

\nWASHINGTON, D.C. \u2013 Alfred Lambremont Webre, JD, MEd, International
\nDirector of the Institute for Cooperation in Space (ICIS), will call
\nfor an Earth Day Exopolitics Initiative: The Decade of Contact – a
\n10-year major federally funded public education program about advanced
\nOff-Planet Cultures now visiting Earth, including the initiation of
\npublic interest diplomacy with these Off-Planet Cultures. <\/p>\n

The Decade of Contact is set out in Webre\u2019s new book EXOPOLITICS:
\nPOLITICS, GOVERNMENT AND LAW IN THE UNIVERSE (Universebooks 2005),
\nlaunched at Washington\u2019s 2d Annual Exopolitics Conference (April 22-24,
\n2005).   Exopolitics is the evolution of Webre\u2019s work as a futurist in
\n1977 at the Stanford Research Institute, where he directed a proposed
\nextraterrestrial communication study project for the Carter White
\nHouse. Webre was General Counsel of the NYC Environmental Protection
\nAdministration and Consultant to the Ford Foundation\u2019s Public Interest
\nEnvironmental Law Program.   Webre was also a witness for the
\nDisclosure Project, which on May 9, 2001 held a National Press Club
\npress conference with high-level governmental, military-intelligence,
\nand academic whistleblowers urging disclosure of an extraterrestrial
\npresence on Earth.<\/p>\n

In Exopolitics, Webre writes, \u201cExopolitics provides us with a 21st
\ncentury universal paradigm, a new dominant world-view. The scientific
\nparadigm of the 20th century was that intelligent life ended at Earth\u2019s
\ngeo-stationary orbit. The Exopolitics model informs us that, in
\nreality, Earth appears to be an isolated planet in the midst of a
\npopulated Universe.\u201d  According to Webre, \u201cThe Decade of Contact is 10
\nyear process of formal, funded process of public education, scientific
\nresearch, educational curricula development and implementation,
\nstrategic planning, community activity, and public outreach about our
\nfull cultural, political, social, legal, and governmental integration
\ninto a larger Universe society.\u201d <\/p>\n

The United Nations General Assembly first approved an Exopolitical
\nInitiative on December 18, 1978, when the UN General Assembly adopted
\ndecision 33\/426, 1978, stating that: \u201cThe General Assembly invites
\ninterested Member States to take appropriate steps to coordinate on a
\nnational level scientific research and investigation into
\nextraterrestrial life, including unidentified flying objects, and to
\ninform the Secretary-General of the observations, research and
\nevaluation of such activities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Brian O\u2019Leary, former NASA Astronaut and colleague of the late
\nastronomer Carl Sagan at Cornell University, says about Webre\u2019s book
\nEXOPOLITICS: "Much of this book rings true.  Certainly, our
\ncivilization cannot go on as we have. We will need all the help we can
\nget to lift ourselves out of tyranny, genocide, and ecocide.  So why
\nnot reach out toward those who are clearly more wise?"<\/p>\n

\u201cThe last time the United States had a President running on an
\nExopolitical Platform was 1976, when Jimmy Carter, who had a UFO Close
\nEncounter in 1969, ran on a promise to open UFO\/ET Government Secrecy
\nand won.  We now need political candidates, public officials, and
\ngovernmental bodies who are committed to an Exopolitical Platform of
\nOpen Disclosure, Publicly funded Education, and Public-Interest
\nDiplomacy with spiritually-advanced off-Planet Cultures now visiting
\nEarth,\u201d Webre says.  \u201cMainstream scientists are concluding that
\ncivilization \u2013 as we know it \u2013 may be extinct by the end of this
\ncentury because of probable ecological catastrophes caused by climate
\nchange, nuclear war or earth changes. To survive, we must transform the
\npermanent warfare economy into a sustainable, cooperative Space Age
\nsociety, release our addiction to fossil fuels, and move toward new,
\nclean, renewable energy sources.  An exopolitical approach to these
\nchallenges may well provide us with ecologically sound, life-saving
\nsolutions \u2013 a legacy of hope for our children and all future human
\ngenerations.\u201d<\/p>\n
