UK media reports are stating that
\nincoming UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg\u2019s<\/a> birth place of
\nthe village of Chalfont St Giles, England, \u201chas been the focus of
\nhundreds of UFO and close encounter reports\u201d the latest of which are on
\nMay 10 and March 24, 2010<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to one May 10,
\n2010 eyewitness report<\/a> about Chalfont St. Giles, \u201cThere are some
\nstrange things happening over our small village. I saw some jets chasing
\na small faster object and then it all went strange and some army vans
\nwent flying past me. Somebody in the village got it on his phone and
\nposted the video to YouTube but it was taken down a few hours later. The
\nreally strange thing is that there is a funny smell that appears every
\nnow and again, a bit like bad eggs but not really that strong.\u201d  A local
\nnewspaper has reported that the video was online and was taken down,
\nalthough the newspaper cannot confirm the authenticity of the video,<\/p>\n

At a meeting in Tynemouth, North Tyneside David Cameron, who is
\nnow UK Prime Minister in a Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition
\ngovernment, was reported<\/a> on January 27, 2009 to have said as
\nOpposition Leader in the UK Parliament: "I have no idea there is
\nintelligent life out there and no idea whether any of the sightings
\nwhich have taken place or whether any incidents which have taken place
\nhave any basis in truth.<\/p>\n

"When people have looked at the
\nRoswell incident, or when people have looked at pictures… a rational
\nexplanation tends to be produced to try and show what has happened is
\nnot what those who believe in UFOs suggest.<\/p>\n

"But I think we
\nshould be a open as possible, so I would be quite happy to give you a
\nguarantee that if I became prime minister I would always be entirely
\nopen and frank about these things.<\/p>\n

"I don't think any of us
\nhave any clue whether there's intelligent life out there and it is
\ncertainly not something that any government should seek to hide from
\nanyone."<\/p>\n

As Examiner.com has reported<\/a>, \u201cWith its twin actions of (1) shutting
\ndown U.K. Ministry of Defence public UFO reports desk and (2) adopting a
\nsecret policy (revealed February 18, 2010) of destroying all UFO
\nreports after 30 days, the U.K. Ministry of Defence has effectively
\nadopting [the same public response profile and policy toward UFOs and
\nextraterrestrial phenomena] as the U.S. Department of Defense.  It has
\ndone so with a psyops show of mock paranoia toward the exopolitical
\nresearch community, and a false note of \u201cno inter-governmental
\ncommunication regarding the extraterrestrial presence\u201d.  All of this has
\nthe impact of, and is most probably calculated to, result in more
\nofficial obfuscation and stone-walling regarding the extraterrestrial
\npresence.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Cameron-Clegg government has entered power in
\nthe U.K. at a time when possible institutional changes resulting in extraterrestrial disclosure<\/a> are underway in the
\nRussian Federation, and in Denver\u2019s August 2010 Extraterrestrial Affairs
\ncommission vote. <\/p>\n

Given the U.K. Ministry of Defence\u2019s
\nstone-walling actions toward UFO and extraterrestrial disclosure, is
\nPrime Minister Cameron\u2019s promise of an \u201copen\u201d and frank\u201d policy toward
\nUFO and extraterrestrial disclosure an empty campaign platform, or is
\nthere the intention of true change?  Will Conservative Prime Minister
\nCameron buck the regressive trend toward UFO disclosure at the U.K.
\nMinistry of Defence?  Finally, is there any significance to UK Deputy
\nPrime Minister Nick Clegg\u2019s birthplace of the village of Chalfont St
\nGiles, England being a UFO hot spot?<\/p>\n

One development with
\npossible positive impact on the prospects for UFO\/extraterrestrial
\ndisclosure is that both Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy Prime
\nMinister Nick Clegg, prior to their 2010 election, publicly opposed the extradition to the U.S. of Gary McKinnon<\/a>,
\nwho reportedly discovered evidence of \u201cnon-terrestrial\u201d U.S. personnel.<\/p>\n
