Declaration<\/a>
\nfor the creation of a European Agency to study UFOs and
\nextraterrestrial affairs. The Declaration was first presented to the
\npublic at a Press Conference preceding the Exopolitics Summit which
\nfeatured international speakers discussing the public policy
\nimplications of evidence concerning extraterrestrial life. The
\nDeclaration is based on a 1978 United Nations General Assembly Decision
\n33\/426 calling for the \u201cEstablishment of an agency or a department of
\nthe United Nations for undertaking, co-ordinating and disseminating the
\nresults of research into unidentified flying objects and related
\nphenomena.\u201d The goal in releasing the Declaration is to spur European
\ngovernments and citizen organizations to cooperate in collection and
\nanalysis of UFO data. An online petition has been started to collect
\nsignatures for the Declaration and promote its adoption by relevant
