The Daily Telegraph<\/a>,
\nthe \u201cother mainstream paper of record\u201d in the U.K., has published an
\nexpert analysis of a recent crop<\/span> circle<\/span> as depicting \u201cthe end of the
\nworld\u201d on Dec. 21, 2012 \u201cas predicted by the Mayan calendar\u201d.  The U.K.
\nTelegraph article reprinted the photograph of a 400-foot crop<\/span> circle<\/span><\/a>
\nreported June 12, 2009, with a notation that \u201cPhoenix crop<\/span> circle<\/span> may
\npredict end of the world. Crop<\/span> circle<\/span> experts believe the latest
\npattern to be discovered, a phoenix rising from the flames in
\nWiltshire, may give a warning about the end of the world. The 400-foot
\ndesign was discovered in a barley field in Yatesbury near Devizes and
\ndepicts the mythical phoenix reborn as it rises from the ashes. 
\nInvestigators claim more formations are referencing the possibility of
\na cataclysmic event occurring on December 21, 2012, which coincides
\nwith the end of the ancient Mayan calendar.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other crop<\/span> circle<\/span> commentators are suggesting that a giant jellyfish-like crop<\/span> circle<\/span><\/a>
\nsighted May 29, 2009 near Wayland Smithy, U.K. (see photos below) may
\nbe a warning of coming solar flares, stating \u201cEarth\u2019s magnetosphere
\nchanges into the shape of a \u201cjellyfish\u201d whenever it is impacted by a
\nsevere solar storm.  Whenever a severe solar storm impacts directly on
\nEarth, then our planetary magnetic field or \u201cmagnetosphere\u201d changes
\ninto the general shape of a \u201cjellyfish.\u201d  <\/p>\n

Solar flares during
\nthe solar maximum 2012-13 causing up to $2 trillion (or more) in damage
\nin the U.S. with millions of potential deaths have been warned of in a
\nJanuary 2009 report<\/a> by the National Academy of Sciences funded by NASA.<\/p>\n
