"These beings are in different states of consciousness than we are, than the normal ordinary subject object consciousness that we’re in on this planet. When you look out into the room you see people, tables, chairs. You see what you term separate objects. We perceive ourselves as separate from what we perceive. And unity consciousness, you perceive the unity first, and then the distinctions secondarily. And so this is studied in consciousness research and in transpersonal psychology and the different states of consciousness. The higher states of consciousness are what I believe that these beings are in. So if you’re looking at inter-species communication, you’re going to have to communicate with these beings on their own terms. And people like Joy (experiencer), they very much convey that. You’re going to have to enter their state of consciousness or their reality in order to really communicate with them. So when I hear people talk about trying to initiate diplomatic relationships with these beings, well I say you’re gonna have to look at this in terms of states of consciousness. Because I guarantee they’re not gonna sit around a conference table (laughter) with us with a note pad and pen in hand. They don’t operate like that. You’re gonna have to look at it in terms of states of consciousness… It is a matter of evolution and it’s a matter of us developing our consciousness and that’s what needs to happen on our planet." –
